This olive oil is produced by Case d’Alto picturesque farm in the Province of Avellino, Campania, Italy.
The Gran Cru has a very low acidity of 0.17% with a bitter but pleasant kick.
Tasting the Gran Cru gives a bitter entry, somewhat reminiscent of celery.
The taste then pleasantly envelops the palette followed by a spicy balance.
The aftertaste is of unripe tomato and green almond.
